Wine Review: This bright medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Handley rocks and was the winner of our first big blind tasting. It is a Helluva Pinot from the Helluva Vineyard. Great name! It opens with an attractive ripe plum bouquet with hints of red cherry and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, nicely balanced and silky. The flavor profile is a tasty mild red raspberry with hints cherry cola and oak. The finish is dry and the flavors linger nicely. The panel suggested pairing this tasty panel with game bird. Emeril’s roast Pheasant was suggested. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Aroma's of plum, rose, currant, and blueberry cheesecake are followed on the palate by flavors of strawberry, cotton candy, and mulling spices. This wine has good oak integration and a soft, smooth finish.
