Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot from Anderson Valley opens with a strawberry and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and a little juicy. The flavor profile is a nice blend of balck raspberry, black Tea and mellow oak. I also detected a dash of black pepper and hint of red plum. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Pinot is food friendly and would pair well with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This vintage of Anderson Valley Pinot Noir is rich and intense with aromas of black cherry, raspberry, and cranberry. Flavors of currant, black cherry, and plum are followed by a long finish and velvety mouthfeel. Pair this wine with your favorite goat or sheep cheese, or with a truffle cheese. It also makes a great accompaniment for meat dishes such as lamb, duck, or salmon.
