Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Hall is a hedonistic delight! It opens with a fragrant and inviting black currant and warm blueberry bouquet with hints of leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black currant and oak blend with notes of minerality and espresso. The finish is dry and its pronounced tannins are very sticky and have very good length. The Panel suggested that this Excellent Cab is a terrific winter wine to sip by the fireplace. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2013 Eighteen Seventy-Three Cabernet Sauvignon has a dark garnet color, masculine in character with brooding aromas of sweet tobacco, anise, black currant, clove and cedar. Flavors of dark cherry, black olive and juniper berry, combine with dense, structured tannins to power this earth-driven wine through the finish.
