Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored red blend opens with a dark chocolate and espresso bouquet with a hint of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a gentle mild cherry and red plum blend with notes of light oak. I also detected hints of mild minerality mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its friendly soft tannins build up and last for a while. This wine is very food friendly and versatile. I would pair it with a juicy sauteed mushroom and Swiss bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Whether novice or aficionado, the quaffable, affordable, yet seriously crafted and complex Mountain Cuvee always provides drinking pleasure to a wide audience and name-an-experience. Welcoming aromas of cherries, raspberries, warm vanilla, and a little cola lead to a medium bodied wine framed by soft tannins and lively acidity. The silky texture showcases layers of lush cassis and red fruit with savory cocoa powder revealed on the finish. Created for life's sooner-rather-than-later enjoyments.
