Wine Review: This pitch black colored red blend opens with an earthy black olive, oak, and blackberry bouquet with hints of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild black currant with notes of minerality, black tea, espresso, and oak. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins are sticky. The panel suggested pairing this red blend with slow cooked beef brisket or a Gorgonzola burger. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2010 Vintage Reserve is deeply layered and highly polished. Lush aromas of cassis and dark cocoa are laced with floral notes. The dense flavors of black currant, blackberry and dark chocolate shavings are seamlessly supported by the bold structure that gives the wine tremendous depth, length and intensity. Remarkably round and smooth in its youth, this wine has the balance and concentration to ensure it will age gracefully up to 20 years from vintage.
