Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Gundlach Bundschu was very well received by the panel. It opens with a pleasant black cherry bouquet with a hint of wild rose. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and zesty. The flavor profile is a spicy plum with notes of nicely integrated gentle oak with a dash of cinnamon and black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and spicy notes stick around for a while. The panel suggested that you pair this Pinot with Seafood Fra Diavolo with linguine. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby color and expressive aromas of black cherry and fresh violets. Opulent flavors of fleshy black plum and juicy blueberry, layered with earthy truffle and mushroom. Round and polished mouthfeel, with ripe, supple tannins drawing the plush texture through a long, elegant finish of dark cherry and espresso. Will continue to improve with three to seven years cellaring from vintage date.
