Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Cabernet opens with new leather and mild black raspberry bouquet with hints of earth, black cherry and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and approachable. The flavor profile is a gentle plum with notes of black raspberry and boysenberry. I also detected hints of integrated old oak and a touch of minerality. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins and ripe fruit flavors stick around for a while after the wine is gone. This Cab would pair well with Hungarian goulash. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Generous aromas of blackberry and cassis with wisps of violets. Dense, vibrant flavors of polished black fruit, including black currant and blackberries, loaded with deep dark chocolate and a touch of graphite. Concentrated and lush on the palate, with opulent fruit, excellent weight and beautifully integrated oak notes. Bright natural acidity and structured tannins enhance exceptionally long finish. Delicious upon release; optimal cellaring time 5 to 15 years from vintage.
