Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay celebrating the Paris tasting is very good. It opens with a fragrant oak bouquet with notes of apple and butterscotch. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy going. The flavor profile is a tasty apple butter and oak blend with hints of faint butterscotch. The finish is dry and drifts away. This Chardonnay is food friendly and would be perfect with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Vintner Hall of Fame inductee Miljenko "Mike" Grgich crafted the 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay that won the famed 1976 Paris Tasting, outscoring the best of France and revolutionizing the wine world. To honor Mike's legacy we showcase our best Chardonnay vines to create this exceptional wine. This elegant, full bodied Chardonnay displays notes of fresh apple tart, honeysuckle and tropical fruit that linger on the tongue.
