Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet performs above average for the vintage. It opens with a blackberry bouquet with hints of cedar and leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and concentrated. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black currant with notes of black licorice. I also detected hints of Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate showing up at the very end with a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins and fruit flavors linger for quite some time. This Cab has a bit of a rustic edge that makes it perfect for comfort food. I would pair it with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Cabernet is rich with aromas of balsamic glazed figs, dried rose petals and a touch of green peppercorns. Smooth and rich on the palate with a persistent finish, this wine is the perfect partner with grilled steak, rack of lamb or roasted duck.
