Wine Review: This Napa Chardonnay from Grgich opens with a mild lemon bouquet with a hint of pear and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and viscous. The flavor profile is an oak infused lemon butter with notes of pear and a hint of green apple. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This Chard would pair well with chicken piccata. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Following the classic style that Miljenko "Mike" Grgich established when we began in 1977, we did not allow the Chardonnay to undergo malolactic fermentation, crafting a wine that is alive with delicious acidity. The wine's crisp, yet rich, flavors of tropical fruit, white peaches and hint of mineral are perfect for fresh seafood, roasted chicken, grilled pork, or creamy cheeses.
