Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Napa Cabernet opens with a fragrant and inviting black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, slightly acidic and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a mineral infused ripe plum with hints of black raspberry and black currant jam. I also detected a hint of black pepper. The finish is dry and its ripe fruit flavors last for quite some time after the wine is gone. This fruit bomb of a Cab will appeal to Zin fans. I would pair this wine with slow cooked short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This Cabernet is packed with rich aromas of black cherry, black licorice, and a hint of roasted coffee. Its full body and smooth tannins make it the perfect partner with grilled steak, rack of lamb, or roasted duck.
