Wine Review: This high-end Napa Cabernet is very European in style. It is dark ruby colored and opens with a mild black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a mild oak infused gentle black currant with hints of minerality and touch of plum in the background. The finish is dry and moderate tannins build up and stick around for quite a while. This wine will appeal to Old World fans and would benefit from about an hour in the decanter. I would serve it with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Full-bodied with firm tannins, the wine offers rich aromas of blackberry, black licorice, and a hint of black pepper, with a long, silky finish. Having the patience to age this wine will reward you in the glass years from now. Serve with simply roasted meat dishes or all by itself to fully enjoy the wine's complex flavors.
