Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc has a green tinge to it. It opens with a fragrant passionfruit and yellow grapefruit bouquet with hints of gooseberry and lime zest. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied and medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, delicate, silky, and bright. The flavor profile is a tasty saline and light grapefruit blend with notes of lemon-lime and nectarine pit. I also detected hints of green tea and celery. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with a Chilean sea bass. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of cassis and passionfruit are first to emerge, with guava, crisp pear and white peach adding a delicious fruit salad intricacy. On the palate, it's generous yet refreshing, with ripe pineapple and a lime sherbet zing, layered with elderflower and hints of citrus blossom. A classic example of Greywacke’s interpretation of the famous Marlborough style – ripe, textural, and scrumptious – with the volume turned well down.
