Wine Review: This very pale straw colored Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand opens with a very ripe yellow grapefruit bouquet with hints of petrol and peach pit. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, acidic and crisp. The flavor profile is a tart grapefruit with notes of mild minerality. I also detected hints of white pepper and Anjou pear. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This classic New Zealand styled Sauvignon Blanc would pair well with swordfish kabobs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A potent medley of honeydew and rock melon with notes of black currant intermingled with layers of delicate citrus blossom and a smoky, dill-like complexity. A classic Marlborough vintage showing an exotic salsa-like combination of succulent tropical fruit flavours and that hallmark herbal infusion, finishing with a zesty citrus tang.
