Wine Review: This dark cherry colored Pinot Noir opens with a fragrant black raspberry bouquet with a hint of black cherry, vanilla oak and a sense of some heat. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a plum and cola blend with nicely integrated oak and a hint of blueberry. The finish is dry, elegant, and subtle. The panel suggested pairing this tasty Pinot with chicken marsala or pork tenderloin. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: An intensely fragrant Marlborough pinot – full of juicy black cherries and the sweet scent of homemade strawberry jam, intermingled with more savoury suggestions of smoked meats and a hint of sarsaparilla. The firm but finely structured palate blends red and black fruits with chary, smoky oak and rich licorice. This is a deliciously aromatic wine with concentrated varietal character.
