Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from Washington state performed very well. It opens with a black currant and black cherry bouquet with hints of chocolate. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with balanced medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty black currant and black plum blend with notes of refined stony minerality, mild anise, and black cherry. I also detected hints of blueberry and a touch of oak. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins show nice length. Give this very nice Cab some time to develop with some air. It paired well with my grilled steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: From its tantalizing ruby and garnet color to its soaring aromas of raspberry, ripe strawberry, Rainier cherry, wildflowers, and sage-filled desert air, this is an energetic and elegantly luxurious expression of Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The vibrant red berry flavors are echoed on the plush, seductive palate, where they mingle with juicy, mouth-filling layers of black plum, cherry pie and spice that linger throughout a long, rich finish.
