Wine Review: This ruby colored Barbera from Gran Passione is a good value. It opens with a black cherry bouquet with a hint of anise and boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced black cherry with notes minerality and red plum. The finish is dry, friendly and subtle. This Barbera would be a nice glass pour for an Italian restaurant. I would pair it with veal parmigiana. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A round, balanced red, featuring black cherry, raspberry, spice, and tobacco notes that offset the firm structure. Subtle oak adds further depth and complexity. A powerful and heady Piedmont Barbera, with good length.
