Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Oregon opens with a smoky oak and black cherry bouquet with hints of red raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a red raspberry and oak blend with notes of strawberry and clove. We also detected a hint of cherry-cola mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas: Heady guava and strawberry, lemongrass, thyme, floral perfume, cocoa, wool shirt after a camping trip, red licorice, freshly tilled soil, and tarragon.
Flavors: Cherry, anise, leather, lilac and a bit of pine sap.
Texture: Fresh, clean, tight and focused up front with a wavy high-pitched tannin structure toward the finish.
