Wine Review: A terrific Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley in Oregon offers a complex nose of hay, light citrus, match stick, brioche and slate. It is a light straw color, medium plus body, silky, creamy and round with lively acidity. Flavors of melon, pear, apricot and green apple with hints of pineapple and stone lead to a mouthwatering lingering finish with lemon notes. I would pair it with pan-roasted scallops. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Aromas: Meyer lemon, brown sugar, Asian pear, oregano, hint of match stick, white peach, brine, lees, perfume. Flavors: Flint, apricot, persimmon, kumquat. Texture: Very fresh up front with a finish as clean as a spring day. Cleansing balanced acidity; candlewax; crisp as a cucumber; round as a persimmon.
