Wine Review: The pale straw Gosset Grand Reserve opens with a nose of tropical fruits, lemon zest, toast, hints of butter and caramel. Even though the Grand Reserve offers a perfume-like aroma, the palate is more delicate in nature. Drinking like a well-aged sparkling Chablis, the Grand Reserve offers the lemon zest on the palate, along with lilac honey, brioche, starfruit and pineapples. The finish is long and persistent; as you wait the finish goes from acidity and minerality to Golden Russet apple. This is still one of the strongest Champagnes at this price point. Drink now. - Nicolay
Winemaker Notes: Gosset Grande Reserve is a truly faithful expression of the Gosset style. To achieve a cuvee of this quality, the cellar-master has blended the best of the various champagne crus at the grape-harvest with wines specially chosen from our reserve stocks for their richness and maturity. Powerful and aromatic, this champagne is ideal for serving as an aperitif or to accompany a very special meal.
