Wine Review: This dark garnet colored red blend from Napa Valley opens with a black currant and new leather bouquet with hints of blackberry and cigar box. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, savory and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced black currant with notes of stony minerality and black tea. I also detected some hints of black cherry, black olive, and clove. The finish is dry, and its mild dusty tannins linger nicely. This kitchen sink red blend is food friendly and versatile. I would pair it with grandma's lasagna. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Rich blackberry and vanilla aromas highlight the bouquet. The blend of this wine provides smooth with silky tannins and balanced acidity. The palate features a core of dark ripe plum and raspberry, enlivened by notes of vanilla bean and cassis. Beautiful acids and tannins linger just the right amount of time.
