Wine Review: This pale straw colored Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand was one of our top finishers and certainly one of the best deals to come out of our recent big blind tasting. This wine opens with a fragrant grapefruit bouquet with hints of cotton candy and roasted red pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a ripe ruby grapefruit with hints of peach and lime. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for quite a while. The panel suggested pairing this tasty Sauvignon Blanc with roasted chicken, seared seas scallops or grilled swordfish. Enjoy
Winemaker Notes: Our Sauvignon Blanc shows the influence of our unique climate and complex soils. After harvesting, we gently press the fruit and cold settle the juice before transferring to temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The aromas and flavours are packed with grapefruit, passionfruit and melon. The palate is crisp, bold, well balanced and refreshing
