Wine Review: This light coral-colored wine from Goldeneye opens with a very fragrant peach and pink grapefruit bouquet with hints of maraschino cherry and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The flavor profile is a tasty blend of white peach and lychee with notes of maraschino cherry and guava. I also detected hints of strawberry, lime, and saline. The finish is slightly off dry, and flavors and acidity linger nicely after the wine is gone. I would serve this wine cool on the porch on a warm summer day. With food, pair it with chilled shrimp cocktail. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This alluring Vin Gris beckons a first sip with tantalizing aromas of white peach and juicy pear, as well as subtle hints of honeysuckle, lychee, and crème brûlée. On the palate, flavors of candied pink grapefruit, golden raspberry, and lemon custard are framed by crisp acidity and a note of sea spray salinity that carries the wine to a bright and graceful finish.
