Wine Review: This salmon-hued sparkler starts off with finer bubbles than most of the other sparklers from Gloria Ferrer. The nose is quick to show off candied orange peel flavors along with glazed lemon slices and ripe strawberries. The palate is a mix of different citrus zests: lemon, orange, and ruby grapefruit to red berries like strawberries and raspberries. The finish wasn't quite long enough given the depth of flavors, but it also wasn't lacking. This is a standalone sipper but would pair nicely with smoked or baked salmon. - Nicolay

Winemaker Notes: This wine opens with bright strawberry and red cherry on the nose. The red fruit continues on to the mouth adding notes of creme brulee, Meyer lemon, and green apple. The mouthfeel is delicate with a creamy mousse. The fruit keeps on giving all the way to the finish wrapping up with a touch of mineral. The Brut Rose is an exceptionally versatile wine and will pair with most cuisines. It is an excellent with Asian inspired dishes such as spring rolls or pork ribs.
