Wine Review: This light gold colored Chardonnay from South Africa opens with a pineapple and apple bouquet with hints of oak and mild mango. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The flavor profile is a mild apricot, underripe pineapple, and gentle oak blend with notes of lemon tea and saline. I also detected a hint of lime zest and ginger. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Chard with chicken francese. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Estate Reserve Chardonnay displays a bright crisp color, a complex nose of quince, citrus peel, lime, and butterscotch caramel with hints of pear drop. The palate lush, with poise and balance, sharp and vibrant citrus and mineral flavors leading the way to a long round textured finish.
