Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Cabernet from South Africa opens with a new leather and blackberry like bouquet a hint of old oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, juicy and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is black plum with notes of mild minerality. I also detected hints of oak and a touch of fig towards the end. The finish is dry and flavors linger nicely after the wine is gone. This wine would pair well with slow cooked beef brisket. Winemaker Notes: This charming Cabernet delivers a classic Bordeaux profile, with excellent structure and balance. Complex, rich flavors of black currant, cherry and dark chocolate combine with enticing herbal and spice notes.
