Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Cab from South Africa opens with a new leather and mild black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black cherry with hints of mild smoky oak and plum. The finish is rather dry and its dusty tannins are very nicely prolonged. It would pair nicely with a ribeye steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Lady May is Glenelly's Flagship Estate wine. Elegant and complex, the wine develops flavours of cassis, blackcurrent, dark cherry, touch of graphite and delicate spices. Fresh and vibrant, the evolution of the wine introduces flavours of fynbos reflecting the specific terroir of Glenelly. Deeply coloured and perfectly balanced the wine displays an exquisite structure with fine velvety tannins and a very good aging capability. Can age during 12 to 18 years.
