Wine Review: This opaque, almost black colored Petite Sirah opens with a very fragrant blackberry bouquet with notes of blueberry and vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a rich and extracted blackberry and boysenberry blend with a dash of pepper and oak mixed in. The finish is quite dry and its sticky tannins are rather lengthy. The panel suggested pairing this fruit bomb with duck smothered in a cherry amaretto sauce or a pot roast. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2008 vintage Petite Sirah is an inky, dark, fruit-forward wine with aromas of Baked cherry pie, ripe plum, marzipan, anise and allspice; on the palate, there’s a wonderful balance of integrated, firm tannins and crisp acidity with a soft, spicy and lingering finish.
