Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a mild lemon and gentle vanilla oak and banana bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and slightly rich. The flavor profile is a light oak infused Anjou pear and green apple with a touch of pineapple and lemon. The finish is dry, slightly tingly and its vanilla oak flavors linger on after the wine is gone. This wine would pair very well with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard Chardonnay exudes aromas of lemon pith, pears and mixed nuts. On the rich and full palate, luscious flavors of stone fruit and cracked wheat, with chalky and minerally tannins. The textural mouthfeel lingers, developing into a smooth, velvety finish. The cellaring recommendation for this wine is between 2-10 years.
