Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Gamay from Georges Duboeuf opens with a black raspberry and plum bouquet with hints of black pepper and prune. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is juicy and round. The flavor profile is raspberry and red plum blend with notes of loam and strawberry. We also detected hints of craisin and dried herbs towards the end. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors drift away nicely. This Beaujolais-Villages offering would pair well with black and blue burger. Enjoy – Ken & Joe
Winemaker Notes: Brilliant garnet color. Here, the Gamay is magnified! An explosion of fruity aromas blending black currant, fresh blackberry, and black cherry. This cuvée displays its character: rich, creamy with velvety tannin where one feels a perfect ripeness of the grapes. Suave finish. You can serve it with grilled meats or world cuisine.
