Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Georges Duboeuf opens with a ripe plum, black raspberry, black pepper, and wet stone bouquet with oak notes. The light plus bodied palate is soft and juicy with bright acidity. The flavor profile is a blend of cherry, strawberry, and dry herbs. I also detected some vanilla, oak, and mineral notes. The pleasant finish is dry and displays light integrated tannins. I would recommend pairing this good value French Pinot Noir with Asian chicken lettuce wraps with pine nuts. - Joe
Winemaker Notes: This Pinot Noir features a bright ruby color. It exudes aromas of red fruits, especially cherry and wild strawberry. With an elegant and luscious mouthfeel, the fruit forward palate has notes of spice from a subtle touch of French oak. Unctuous and delicious through the finish. This Pinot Noir is a perfect choice to serve with charcuterie, samosas, lasagna, salmon, and soft cheese.
