Wine Review: This Gamay from Georges DuBœuf presents with an opaque aubergine color with ruby tints. The bramble fruit flavors on the nose are inviting, as is the explosion of cherry and blackberry flavors upon introduction to the palate. The wine is medium-bodied, smooth, and well-balanced throughout with gentle tannins and light acidity. Hints of baking spice wrap the wine until the soft and juicy exit. Serve slightly chilled with a dish of Cornish game hen and butternut squash. - Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: The 2018 Beaujolais-Villages displays a brilliant garnet color and is superbly fruity, with aromas of red and black berries, predominantly cassis. It is medium-bodied, well-structured and generous in mouth-feel with silky and elegant tannins. This wine works well with appetizers and charcuterie, such as prosciutto and other salty meats. Also try it with pulled pork sliders.
