Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine opens with a classic Beaujolais bouquet. Notes of strawberry rhubarb with a hint of red raspberry jump from the glass. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced, and easy going. The flavor profile is a mineral infused red currant with old oak and strawberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger for a little while. This wine would pair well with a tangy pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bight blueberry in color, this Morgon 2010 Domaine Jean Descombes is suggestive of both flowers and fruit, particularly violets and black fruits, with hints of kirsch. Harmonious, powerful, smooth, subtle, it offers a long finish and an outstanding elegance and character.
