Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Beaujolais opens with a mild blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, very smooth, and approachable. The flavor profile is a mild blueberry and plum with a hint of dusty notes. The finish is rather dry and its sticky tannins linger for quite sometime. This affordable offering is a very food friendly and would pair well with ragu bolognese. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This Brouilly has a deep crimson color and complex, intense dark berry aromas (black cherry, bilberry) sustained by hints of kirsch. On the palate, it is a powerful, fleshy, "chewy" wine with silky tannins that give it a smoothness and harmony on the finish, typical of this outstanding 2009 vintage.
