Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay opens with a mild wet stone, oak, and pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and mouthwatering for a Chard. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality, mild toasted oak and spiced pear blend with notes of chamomile tea and light lemon. I also detected hints of honey. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. I would pair this Chard with pasta carbonara. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This incredibly aromatic Russian River Chardonnay boasts fresh, lifted aromas of honeysuckle, white peach, green apple, and honeydew melon. The palate unfolds with flavors of roasted nectarine, Meyer lemon, ginger-honey brioche, lime zest and a just fleck of hazelnut adds layers of richness and complexity. The finish is bright and crisp, with a rich, creamy texture that carries through to the tangy, persistent finish.
