Wine Review: This vivid yellow colored Chardonnay from the Richie Vineyard is very good. It opens with a lemon custard and pineapple bouquet with hints of Bosc pear, green tea and juniper berry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with bountiful bright acidity. The flavor profile is a tasty Meyer lemon and pineapple blend with notes of vanilla and oak. We also detected hints of white peach pit, kumquat and grapefruit pith towards the end. The finish is dry and its tangy flavors drift away nicely. This Chard is very food friendly and would pair well with chicken francese and creamy vegetarian risotto. Enjoy – Ken and Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: Bright notes of citrus zest and green apples introduce this beautiful offering from the Ritchie Vineyard. Hints of baked pear tart and roasted hazelnuts add an alluring element of depth and intrigue. The palate is exceptionally refreshing upon entry with concentrated flavors of white peaches, apricots, and figs. Opulent, yet tightly knit, this wine provides an amazing balance of fruit driven flavors and lively acidity that is a hallmark of this classic vineyard site.
