Wine Review: This deep yellow colored Chardonnay from Gary Farrell opens with a honeydew melon and lemon custard bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a flinty mineral and lemon verbena blend with notes of oak, almond and green apple. I also tasted a touch of Werther's Original in the after taste. The finish is dry and its flavor linger nicely. This Chard would pair well with brown butter sage skillet chicken. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The beautiful bouquet opens with aromas of lemon, stone fruit and white flower petals, leading to a rich, yet mineral-driven palate that brims with creaminess and lemony persistence. Flavors of tropical fruit, honey, toasted hazelnut and flint come together to offer both richness and refinement. Tangy acidity lends a zesty, lingering and mouthwatering finish. Pair with Arroz con Pollo (Puerto Rican chicken and rice dish)
