Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from the Bacigalupi Vineyard in the Russian River opens with a Bartlett pear bouquet with hints of caramel. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a green apple and pear blend with notes of butter and oak. I also detected hints of lemon. The finish is dry and it flavors linger and last for quite a while. This Chard would pair well with wild mushroom ravioli with a light cream butter sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This impeccably balanced wine presents exuberant aromatics of white flowers, apricots and Gravenstein apples. Notes of lemon-lime zest and pineapple are interwoven with elements of toasted coconut and almond. Bright and focused upon entry, subtle flavors of warm banana and creme brulee lead the way to a densely layered, textural finish.
