Wine Review: This bright ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Russian River opens with fragrant black raspberry bouquet with hints of oak and black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle black raspberry with notes of oak and mild red plum. I also detected a hint of cinnamon and touch of Maraschino cherry. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This is a very food friendly Pinot. I would pair it with cherry amaretto chicken. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine exudes enticing aromas of fresh strawberries, wild cherry preserves, cinnamon and nutmeg, which give way to an intriguing combination of oyster mushrooms, cola, cedar and an elderberry reduction glaze. With bright acidity and decadent fruit, this focused and elegant wine is enveloped by caressing soft-grained tannins and displays a pleasant, lingering finish.
