Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Grenache opens with an oak and raspberry bouquet with hints of graphite and violets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is rich, round and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is a stewed black plum and stony minerality blend with notes of black tea and oak. I also detected hints of cherry and a touch of cranberry. The finish is dry and its big boy bold tannins totally envelope your mouth. I would decant this wine for a very long time and then serve it with a well-marbled ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: We removed this wine from the fall release to give it a bit more time to rest in the bottle and are so happy we did. Pretty strawberry aromatics but with dark fruit flavors on the palate. The tannins are a bit more refined than the 2017 vintage with a very lengthy finish. Every time we revisited our glass, we smiled with how it revealed a little more of itself. Words just don’t do this wine justice.
