Wine Review: This very pale straw colored Trocken (dry) styled Riesling opens with a mild pineapple and white peach bouquet with a hint of lemon tea. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round, bright and lively. The flavor profile is a tart lime and grapefruit blend with notes of stony minerality, pineapple and ginger. The finish is dry and quite refreshing. I would pair this Riesling with sushi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Fritz Haag Estate Riesling Trocken is harvested from steep, slate-soil vineyards. It balances naturally brisk Mosel Riesling acidity with excellent concentration, a delicate texture, and an ultra-fine fruitiness. It's a bright and crisp dry Riesling, making it a perfect choice for a variety of shellfish dishes, and is especially ideal as a partner for briny, cold-water oysters.
