Wine Review: This pale straw colored Spatlese level Riesling from Fritz Haag opens with a faint lemon, Anjou pear, and gentle pineapple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and pleasantly sweet with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round and delicate, while at the same time very bright. The flavor profile is an apricot and lemon blend with notes of Anjou pear and white tea. We also detected hints of crushed stone minerality in the mix. The finish remains slightly sweet as its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. We would drink this Riesling on its own. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: An intensely fruity yet delicate Riesling from fully ripe grapes, made in the moderately sweet Spätlese style. Spätlese is the German term for "later picking," where extra time on the vine brings greater concentration and depth of flavor.
