Wine Review: This white gold colored Riesling from Fritz Haag opens with a ginger, honey, and lime bouquet with a hint of Vaseline. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with bright medium acidity which melds well with the off-dry flavors. The flavor profile is a stony mineral influenced ginger and quince blend with notes of lime and chamomile tea. I detected hints of white pepper. The finish remains off-dry to dry and its flavors linger and last for a long time. This well-balanced Riesling is quite food friendly. I would pair it with linguini with clam sauce or the oyster bar. Enjoy - Ken
