Wine Review: This pale straw colored Spatlese level Riesling from Fritz Haag is excellent! It opens with a bee’s wax and green tea bouquet with faint hints of apricot and honey. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with nicely integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is wonderfully balanced, lush, smooth, and delicately sweet. The flavor profile is a delicious blend of lemon, lime zest, and mild honey with notes of green tea and ginger. The finish is remains delicately sweet and drifts away nicely. This terrific Riesling is worthy of sipping on its own with good friends. With food, if you must. Try a macaroon cookie. Enjoy – Ken
