Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Riesling from Fritz Haag is Excellent! It opens with a pineapple, lemon, and papaya bouquet with hints of candle wax and petrol. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with pleasant light acidity. The flavor profile is a very tasty, slightly sweet lime and lemon blend with notes of chalky minerality, ginger, and pineapple. I also detected hints green apple and white pepper. The finish remains slightly sweet and drifts away nicely. This Riesling a terrific sipper to enjoy on its own. It can also be an aperitif or a dessert. Enjoy - Ken
