Wine Review: This almost clear colored dry-styled Riesling from Fritz Haag opens with a yellow grapefruit and Key lime bouquet with hints of lychee and grilled pineapple. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with plus acidity. We also found it to be mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a blend of tart green apple and grapefruit with notes of lime zest and stone fruit. The finish is rather dry and refreshing. It lingers nicely. The Panel thought this wine was a little young now. If you can’t wait it and would like it with food. We would suggest pairing it with grilled swordfish or halibut served slightly chilled on a hot summer day. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Estate Riesling Trocken balances the brisk Mosel Riesling acidity with a delicate texture and an ultra-fine fruitiness. It shows excellent concentration and very pure fruit atop brilliantly ripe acidity. The Estate Riesling Trocken is bright and crisp, making it a perfect choice for a variety of shellfish dishes, and especially ideal as a partner for briny, cold-water oysters.
