Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from Fritz Haag opens with a musty damp forest floor bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced and pleasantly sweet with nicely integrated acidity. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused pineapple and lychee blend with hints of white tea and peach. The finish is off-dry and fades away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Riesling with seared scallops. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This vineyard produces lighter, more delicate wines than the warmer, riper Sonnenuhr. The late-picked Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Spatlese has fine, forceful fruit in the aroma, a linear focus on the palate and a pure slate finish. A great choice for spicy dishes with fresh flavors and a lively sweet/tart balance.
