Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Tobini Vineyard opens with black raspberry, campfire and musty oak bouquet with hints of strawberry and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced, smooth and round. The flavor profile is a smoky oak and juicy red plum blend with notes of black raspberry. We also detected hints of black cherry, oolong tea, vanilla and oregano mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors and fine tannins drift away nicely. This Pinot Noir would pair well with a prosciutto wrapped pork tenderloin with sage or with a grilled leg of lamb with rosemary, garlic and Dijon mustard. Enjoy – Ken & Joe
Winemaker Notes: This is a new wine to the portfolio. A new single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Toboni Vineyard. It is a meticulously farmed 15-acre vineyard sits in the heart of Russian River Valley that produces high-quality fruit from both Dijon and Pommard clones.
