Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Fritz opens with a musty oak influenced pear with hints of apricot, pineapple and cantaloupe. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round. The flavor profile is a spiced pear with notes of oak and butterscotch. We also detected hints of honey, quince, lemon and hazelnut. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity are pleasantly extended. This Chard would pair well with spaghetti carbonara or fettuccine alfredo. Enjoy – Ken and Joe
