Wine Review: This pale, dark ruby Zinfandel from the Dry Creek Valley opens with aromas of charred oak, pencil lead, ripe red plum and black olive tapenade. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth and slightly jammy. The flavor profile is tart cranberry and red plum blend. It is followed by notes of red licorice and ripe wild cherry. We also detected some hints of dark chocolate and spice notes towards the end. The finish is pleasant and slightly dry with light sticky tannins. We would pair this Dry Creek Valley Zin with spice-rubbed venison loin or something as simple as a margherita pizza w/arugula. – Jeoff, Joe & Mike
Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Estate Zinfandel is medium-plus bodied and displays aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and strawberry balanced with bright acidity and a satisfying grip. Lush notes of cassis, cocoa powder and vanilla round out the palate on this estate gem.
